    Default Sediments in coolant tank

    Hey Guys!

I'm starting to freak out now... (Wallabies lost, All Blacks lost.... what's going on??!?!?!) I opened the coolanat tank and had a look, and saw sand-like sediments againt the walls of the tank.... not a lot, but quite visible.

I just wanted to make sure before I waste my time with stealers, I wanted to clarify how severe the situation is here.

    Cheers

sand-like...took a sample to see what it is?.. you did have a coolant system flush, so i wonder if it's some rust from the cylinder block thats been mover by the pressure flush and deposited into the header tank?..Got any pictures of the contents of the tank?..always helpful..

It may not be too serious at all, and i don't think it's related to your current transmission woes..

The transmission is really giving me heartattacks.... when it works, it's fine... when it's not... It changes from 3rd to 4th with a slight "bang.." and all other gears being really sluggish....

Since it works sometimes without any problems, I do think it's not the contamination... but still will go back to Holden and get it investigated... and question them about the sand-like sediments in the coolant...

do you get limescale in your kettle ? that is hard water. Usually in areas where a lot of brewing beer takes place as hard water better for brewing.

I don,t know if you have different types of water over there, but we do, it all depends on the type of rock the water runs through, were I live the water is hard as it run,s through lime stone, where as just down the road they get their water from Wales and it is soft.
