Thumbs up Fitted Parrot 3200 Kit

Managed to get the Parrot Kit I already had fitted into the Signum this afternoon. Hardest part was deciding where the screen would look good....

In the end followed Spoons & some other Members ideas

Easy to fit - but the wiring harness was a very tight fit & many scratches & swearing ensured it went in eventually!

So here are a couple of pictures - all fitted & working. Note - Check out my Bluetooth profile

Looks good ... that really does seem to be the best place for the screen in terms of useability ... it's quite natural to look there I find without taking my eyes off the road. It's interesting how you've fed the wire into the vent facia ... never thought of that ... is the cable squashed in?

    Thumbs up Fits Well

    Hi,

no the cable is very snug - looked at feeding it past the vent direction bezel first - the cable would fit but the plug on the end was 1mm too big!

So routed behind instead. Nothing damaged & marginally better than drilling or similar.

Put my Microphone at top of Pillar also - works better then when near centre lights/ alarm sensors.

Ahh that would of fitted, what's wrong with ya

I was gonna coment last night the same as Dave about the cable going into the vent. I'd usually just go into the trim beneath the vents.

The reason most manufacturers say to mount it in the middle is to reduce on wind noise if you have the window open but this day with most cars fitted with air con I really don't see what the fuss is about it going by the window.

    Very nice...

I really like this parrot device as the colours also match the vec nicely, and as you see, it fits over that airvent really well. I've never missed not being able to use that vent either.. so job done !!

Thumbs up Parrot fitted - Next......

So thats the sensible stuff taken care of, now what I have planned:

    * Finding a Colour Screen for Nav at a reasonable price - Stop laughing!
I know a guy from the Astra Forum who can any Tech2 operation for Beer money. His user name is Diagman. So hoping to Retrofit the screen & go & see him (Wirral) for programming.

The rest of the mods fall under styling etc. I am more than happy with the standard ICE - providing I get the colour.
