I know you are all fountain of knowledge on everything so i thought i'd ask you a question about ebay.

I have just listed something on ebay this morning and have confirmed everything and i've been charged a listing fee.

But i have just gone to see if i can find it by searching for it but can't see it. Have i forgot to do something?

I have gone into my ebay and have a listing number.

Not sure if i can put the name of the product or links to it on here as i'm not a full member and don't want to upset people.

Sometimes they don't appear straight away, I have had (on a couple of occasions) an item take upto an hour to appear.

i can see it but when doing a search cant find it.

Hmm, no, not known it to take this long to be honest.

Might be worth a quick mail to eBay to check, but wouldn't be surprised if the search works in the next few hours.

ebay have told me that if you have listed or revised a item, it can take upto 24hrs to appear in the search bar.

If i can't find it then, i need to contact them again.

Its no good if you are only putting it on for a short time.

The length of time is not important, but the end time/date is VERY important.

If an auction ends while everyone is at work, someone is going to get a real bargain (less competition). If it ends after 6pm, or any time on a weekend, you'll get a nice little end of auction bidding war going on.

The opposite is true for selling kids toys and womens clothes, daytime endings to those auctions means more bids from bored "stay at home, got the husbands credit card" mums, who will regularly pay/bid over the odds compared to shop prices.
