Good MPG

Tried driving economically at the weekend, was amazed at the mpg, mainly A roads and dual carriage ways, so just did the speed limit, got 59.something MPG, for 150BHP car that is amazing, well i think so.

Done 380 miles and have used half a tank yet, makes me think of that top gear challenge where they had to 700 miles on one tank, they should of used a vectra

yep,.. bout the same as mine - Reckon they'd a squeezed over 1000 miles from a tank on all motorway at 60 mph. I've always said they should have used a 150 diesel vec on that challenge

Yep it is amazing what is possible on a long run. I did 520 miles on three-quarters of a tank on one trip last year, and averaged a shade over 70mph.

I'm going down to Blackpool on thursday from Lanarkshire this will be the furthest the car has been since i got it so looking forward to seeing how it dies MPG wise

wow my 150cdti must have a problem im only squeezing out 48mpg and thats sticking to 60mph on the motorway!! any ideas to improve mpg??

Good service,new fuel filter, clean egr and boost sensor, make sure your manifold isn't bust, tyre pressures etc lol

59mpg. Was that worked out on paper or the readout on the BC?

Must be something wrong with my siggy, im just about getting 430 to a tank, and i drive like victor meldrew lol bc says 47
