This job has been high on my list of priorites since I bought the car, they were in a terrible state when I got them, just having a full time job, a property and a child under the age of 2 has a way of taking up ones time
Only had a single job booked in for this morning, after that I came home, parked up the van and decided that as it was such a nice day, the little one was at her grandparents and the other half was at work I'd get a start on my wheels.
Cracked off the passenger front wheel and started to repair.
State of the wheel once off the car and cleaned up...
Masked up and keyed over the damage ready for filler...

The coating on the inside of the rim was in a poor state too, signs of poor wheel care products and salt corrosion were present, as I plan on keeping the Vectra until it's dead I decided to do a proper job, I rubbed back (to the metal in some places) all of the corroded coating, I then soaked the inside of the wheels with a combination of TFR and Wurth industrial cleaner, I adjetated with a soft brush then wiped clean, in fairness the chemicals did a pretty good job of breaking up the baked on muck, I'm going to go and buy a steel brush drill attachment tommorow to get in the hard to reach places. But this it how I left it, I'll prime the insides with Acid #8 when they're ready.
Couple coats of primer and that's where I stopped (ran out of time ) but all in all a good afternoons work, even the colour of the primer has grown on me, must resist the urge to paint them black!
There are a couple of small imperfections (the eagle eyed of you will probably notice) but I didn't expect to get away with only two fills.
I'll update this thread in due course, I need to refill one or two small areas, prime, then wet flat the whole wheel, if all is well after this I'll progress with the paint and then lacquer.
