I have a facelift auto version.
Just wondering will my car have dpf? And how often does it re-gen?
I do 35 miles on M3 most days into London

Yes, you have one. I would expect a regen maybe every tank or two, depending on how you drive the car on the motorway. You'll see your instant consumption take a nosedive to about 1 gallon per hour on idle which is quite painful to watch...
Certainly is painful
You will also notice that whilst regenning, you don't see '999mpg' on over-run. Expect the engine to run a little rough during the process & exhaust sounds a bit more 'boomy'.
Mine seems to do it every 300 miles or so and lasts 10 - 15 minutes to complete. Others may be different, depending on the type of driving.
Let it complete the cycle, or you risk it blocking, or at the best, constantly attempting to regen, which is like leaving your wallet open in a gale!
One of several reasons why I sold mine and went back to a 1.9 150 - with the remap it's putting out the exact same power ant torque figures my Signum used to, albeit without the V6 rumble. No DPF, better economy, EGR blanked off, and everything is just so much easier to work with on this one...
So does it give any sort of warning light that it is doing the regen? is there any way to force it to regen and how do you know when the cycle has finished?
Sorry for the questions and hijacking the thread
No warning light any more - just watch the instant consumption mate. If it's in the 20's and you're just cruising then it's regenning.
The car will do it itself as needs be. Mostly, this will happen during normal driving and with a warmed up engine and getting out of town, regen kicks in if needed. The process will run until finished, even if you drop back into city/stop-start driving.
Regen can be forced by software intervention (e.g. tech2), but if the car 'needs' to regen, it will do, once certain driving parameters are met - like being on some A roads or motorways for a short while.
Allow it to complete the cycle and you will know it's over once the car stops running rough and fuel consumption returns to normal.
