    Default No CD70 - So Can I Still Set The Clock ?

    If I take the OEM head out can I still set up the clock ?

    No mate im afraid it works off the rds signal via the radio

    pull the lead out onto the glove box side so you can drop the glove box out and connect the unit in to set the clock , you can then do it in 10 mins without having to pull all the headunit out.

    when you fit the aftermarket stereo just pull the black plug (quadlock) out to the glovebox side then connect your adaptor lead in then run it back into the radio hole , it is a pain vauxhall decided everything needs to be done by the radio

    Yeh I can do that but I was thinking if I knew the pin outs for the CID as there is a small square connector there may be a way to just programe it.

    Certainly some one seems to have found a way to pipe an image in to it some how.

    Some of the guys on my other forum are pretty good with circuit design and PICs....

    I doubt it , it will all be done on the Can network , you can get aftermarket can-bus stereo control modules for the vectra now , wether they have the capability to let you adjust the clock im not sure.

    Cheers.... CAN-Bus makes it eaiser I think... theres one company thats managed to create a CAN BUS control system for a CarPC although its not in production yet... they posted it recently....
