central locking help !!!!!!!

can any body shed some light on this my unlock on blip has broken but can still lock with blip and set alarm but when i insert key and unlock manually the alarm sounds, i have tried turning key to unlock position twice but still no good also the central locking will not work on lock or unlock with key in door lock HELP!!!!!!

The alarm is designed to work like that. To cancel it if you've opened the door manually with the key you have to put the key in the ignition.

Also depending on the age of the Vectra, the central locking only works with the remote or the buttons on the drivers door. Earlier ones worked via the remote and via the door locks, but later ones as just mentioned -with the remote or the buttons on the drivers door.

It sounds like the microswitch for the closed part of the remote fob is broken.

Have you another key to try?

its a 2004 vectra, 2 ltr dti, both keys don't work one is broken the other just locks using blip, so if i lock it using blip and open with key when alarm sounds all i need to do is turn on ignition ????????

Correct. That will then silence the alarm till next time you set it and then open the door again.

Thanks for the help bud, just phone vaux dealer for price on new remote £108 what a rip off think i'll be just using key from now on !!!!!!!!!
