how do you stop your double dins been nicked!?

I want one but dardent get one as theres too many thiefs out there! I know you can get a dummy facia but any criminal will know its false when its sticking out an inch surely! And the dummy panel looks like a ford radio! Any ideas or dont you think a criminal wud attempt to take due to car been alarmed?

If its aftermarket providing your not advertising your wares I.e. lots of external stickers for speakers stereos and amps etc ..
Most would be car thieves wouldnt give your car a second look ... When there are more readily advertised options out there

Do as what I'm doing, I'm buying a JVC double din DVD not only because of the more features than some of the other brands but it also has a detachable faceplate.

I was also worried about this what I did was get my cd30 a couple screw drivers and took the front off it and taped all the buttons in place and I UAE blue tac to keep it in place al see if still got pic

This is it, it sticks out here but I have now made my double din
100% flush so now it don't stick out

Took 5 min few little screws and pops off I have a pioneer 3300bt screen looks like its ment to be in the car as its flush and same colour as dash lights
