Default Cold start issue - Thread 1,426

Ok, a lot of us have this issue and none has found a fix.
The obvious fix is to force the plugs to stay on for longer, and disconnecting the coolant sender plug does this, albeit it keeps the fan on :/

Now does anybody have any knowledge of electronics?
I'm thinking if an inline resistor is soldered into the plug wire that it would fool the ECU into thinking the engine is colder than it is and keep the plugs on longer?

    Thoughts?

And leak offs, thermostat, glow plugs, GP relay.

Only option I can see is to hack the glow plug glow time

Glad your sorted - are you sure it was the battery or could it have been the starter motor

Have you checked the injectors/copper washers? Do you park your car uphill? If you do, try to park downhill and check if same problem still persists.
