    Default custom aluminium products

    Anyone on here work or know of anywhere that can do custom aluminium products ?

    I say aluminium but it for a heat shield cover, the one on the insignia is dam right ugly

    I either need something to bolt over it, or I need a new one fabricated.

    Not my engine bay btw

    I work at a place at mo fabricating aluminium and stainless jobs for satellites. Can do it just depends what yoy want if you can draw something up and pm me il have a look get something made but i leave next fri lol so hurry if you want out doung cheers

    Just want something a bit smoother, Not sure how you could do it, as i assume you would need shield as template ?

    lol i have had it power coated but it's still an eye sore Wanted something shiny, Then i was going to get it either engraved or laser cut

    you cant lazer engrave aluminium you can however paint it with a marking paste and then run the lazer over it wash off and you will be left with your lettering ect

    some hi power lazers will cut/engrave but getting a clean edge will be hard work better to cut or engrave out of a flat bit of aluminium with a flat bed cnc then bend/shape to what you want

    Getting it cnc cut is fine but then trying to fabricate it so the lettering is correct would be total hassel as ali shrinks loads when welding plus if rolled would elongate and deform lettering

    Might have to use mild steel then?

    same problems as aluminum

    best thing would be to have one machined out of a solid block of aluminium but no doubt costly
