Screeching sounds when cold?

Hey all ive got that nasty screeching sound when i start the car from cold i think its some sort of belt but not sure can someone advise and direct me to a how 2 if there is one?>

can be aux belt but can also be water pump screeching. You can get a lube to add to your coolant for water pump, if its the aux belt you can feel slack in it - should be really tight.

The one that goes round the alternator.

It may only need tightening up which is easier than replacment. Have a look and see if itis worn bad.

Don't they all have spring loaded tensioners?
