Dont forget to check your Anti-Freeze.

Just checked mine and its only protected to -15 (2 balls floating) but looks very orange/pink.

So just because it looks like its ok get it checked properly with a hydrometer.

Bought new antifreeze from Euro Car Parts this morning. 5 litres of long life for £12.95. Just got to get round to doing it now.
Anyone know the coolant capacity of a GSi.

Orange/pink stuff is just a type that can be Vauxhall or any other make.

But make sure the hydrometer is the correct one for the type of antifreeze you've got fitted.

Some of the DIY hydrometer testers are for only testing ethylene Glycol anti freeze.

The long life stuff (that would normally be in your Vectra) won't give an accurate reading on the gravity ball type testers.

    Why is that?

The ball one and a refractometer both read the same on the 2 Vauxhalls I did today?
