    Default LPG Systems - Pharos

Anyone know of anywhere reasonably close to Southampton that can service Pharos systems?

Had no problem up here in Midlands but the old man is having problems finding someone close to him now that he's bought the car.

Tip - never sell a car to a relative!

Your best bet is to do a search on google. I had a Leonardo LPG kit on my last car (Vectra B). The LPG eventually ate the alloy cylinder head at 100,000 miles and that cost £760 to fix. But the LPG was dirt cheap just off the A5/M6 junction at 32-35p per litre, so who cares.

That's what I've been trying - closest one I can find is in Dorset. Cheers anyway

are u saying the LPG is the reason for your engine failure?
Do we know for sure that some problems occur due to the use of LPG?

Yes LPG was the reason for the head going. The blokes who replaced it (specialist engine/gearbox fixers) recognised LPG as a cause of cylinder head damage before they even took it off. And then when I went to sell the car 6 months later, the dealer rang a couple of traders to value it and when told it ran on LPG aand how many miles it had done, one trader asked if the head had been replaced. Alloy heads and LPG do not mix!
