Default Which pre mixed antifreeze to use?

Coolant light came up this morning, upon lifting the bonnet I noticed it was only low by about 10mm, and after turning the ignition on again the pic had gone. So im after a pre mixed antifreeze to top up with. Now after reading a thread on the 2.2 forum it mentioned that heads have been known to crack/ leak around the spark plug holes due to the wrong type of antifreeze being put in/mixed and leading it to corrode the ally head on the z22se/yh. Any ideas guys. Is there a pre mix out there and would it just be safer to go to vx and get there's?

Just go to Vx and get the red long-life (assuming that's what currently in yours) and mix it 50:50. You could just top it up with water but with winter here, if it was me, you may as well keep it up to as max strength as possible.

Yep its the vx stuff as I had a new lump fitted by them about 10k ago. It looks yellow in colour but I suppose it was red before it was diluted.

Yep, more reddy/orange when neat, going a bit paler when diluted.

Cheers, i'll get on the case this week. I'd rather pay a bit more and get the right one than have a corroded head.

Where'd you get that from? It's definitely 50:50 with the red stuff from Vx.

LOL. ive just come one here to ask that very question. Got the vx stuff, only £2.49 per ltr, asked if it needed mixing, and as usual the never helpful parts guy just said yes its on the bottle. Got home, looked for dilution ratio, erm no! All its says is consult service documents. Look through service documents and what does it say......Consult qualified VX tec! Shouldn't have expected anything different really should I.

Never mix that stuff with green anti-freeze. It pretty much forms a soap mix and will bubble out everywhere.

No worries mate, apparently the green and blue is no good for my ally head anyway so Vx stuff all the way.
