I have sold phones to both Car Phone Warehouse and Muzomo (or however it is spelt). Recently CarPhone will only buy if you are getting a new phone from them. The second company was mail based but everything was done quickly. Why do you wnat rid of the iPhone 4? Other than nothaving great reception it is by far the best handset regardless of what Android or Nokia Fan boys would tell you.
I recently sold a Nokia N97 that was very frustrating and bought a BlackBerry. It does its basic job of email very well, and Ilove the way it uses my wifi broadband to work better in my house than previous phones, but I do miss having a decent sized screen and web browsing that was worth while. I got the fairly basic Curve just to keep me going until I am due an upgrade at which point I intend to get an iPhone (could be a 5 by the time I am due and upgrade next October).
I filled in there web page and got the price etc, had the package delivered to my house the next day. Posted my N97 back and had the money in my account within 24 hours so quick. If you are after the new BlackBerry Torch, you should see how much CarPhone Warehouse would give youif your are buying the new BlackBerry. The only reason I did not use them as I had done previously was they were looking £20 more for the BlackBerry curve than 4 for U.
Try finding a CEX store, they seem to give more than most, especially if you opt for the in-store credit note.
ebay more cash
Check out mirrorgogreen... finds you the best price... I sold my iphone 3g back in june for £170 .. Same as they were goin for on ebay without the hassle and charges
