What is it with some people? (autotrader)

Had a fair few phone calls now about my vec but are people just wanting to talk to somebody??

Had a guy phone about three times: "will come and look at it.." "can't make it", "will come and look at it", "cant make it, but will come tomorrow" then nothing

next guy: "how many miles?, what the price?, ok bye" all of this is on the ad!

another guy: "really nice car, but I need to sell mine first, will ring back", what was the point of that?

latest guy: "what's the reg, mileage? and your address, ok will ring you back" - at least he asked for the reg (probably for a hpi check) and my address this time. Will see if he phones back.

I suppose it's better than no phone calls though

Hence why I just traded mine in in the end mate - couldn't be bothered with all that hassle...

yeah, it's nice to be able to trade in, but they give you peanuts for yours.

Here's hoping the last guy was serious..

The last car I sold in the autotrader (Citreon Saxo Furio) sold within a couple of days by the first guy who called.

Yep, had this before, why don't people do as they say and keep there word, instead of wasting peoples time waiting for them.

hope you dont wake up tomo and the cars gone..........seen it before make sure you take keys to bed and turn wheels so it cant be towed and park were only the back is showing if you can

it's blocked in by another car, but I like the idea of turning the wheels.

I came to a deal with the trader I was dealing with and got 4 grand for mine through a combination of agreeing various nits and pieces weren't done before sale like a service and mot. More over it's a case of agreeing how much extra you have to pay regardless if the cost of the new one and the value of yours. Plus I was in and out in an hour with a new car having gotten rid of the old one.

Makes life so much easier...

good good just fort id say better safe then sorry and people think handbrake and in 1st will stop it getting towed WRONG!! turning the wheel makes it so much harder to be honest
