confused Engine feels Dull and Unresponsive

I have recently noticed that my engine seems somewhat dull and unresponsive. It seems slow on the pick up, if this makes sense. I have the 1.9 cdti 150.

Any suggestions as what the cause of this could be or what I should check / look for on the weekend when I give the car a once over?

    Cheers in advance,

    Andy

I haven't got a clue when the filter was last changed. I've had the car about 9 months and done about 14000 miles in it and I have changed it.

Do yourself a favour and make sure that you get the 'restricted flow' Fiat gaskets.

Apparently Fiat recalled a lot of its 1.9s to have the gaskets with the smaller holes fitted.

    Vehicle : Insignia

    Trim : SE

    Engine : 2.0 CDTI

    Year : 2011

    Mileage : 180k

    Default Slow pickup etc

I have a similar problem to the post, ie very slow pick, in fact it barely has enough torque to get away from standing. If you can get the revs up the turbo comes in a big rush. I note the responses on EGR cleaning and filter change but these symptoms seem more extreme than this...unless I have got it wrong!!

Any thoughts? Could it be the turbo dying or the fuel pump?
