Default Pics with H&R Springs fitted

My GSI is currently in the garage having Bilstein B4's and -40mm H&R springs fitted. Just wondering if anyone else has them fitted, what they think & any pics??

Yeah i seen Ian's and he has B6 shocks fitted iirc and sits really well but wanted to see Hatches with the same axle weight to give me a better idea. The B4's are meant to be a standard OEM replacement??

Don't fit b4s to an sri, too soft. Just replaced mine with new Sachs. Great ride.

Mark1319 was about the first to fit H&R springs to his hatchback years ago, sat brilliant and handled great..

I think you may regret buying B4s if you're used to the GSi handling personally. It will be quite a bit softer. That said, they are of course excellent quality shocks, but I would definitely have fitted B6s unless you were looking for a less reactive suspension.

The B4s are for standard suspension cars as an OEM replacement. The SRi has sports suspension so the direct replacement for those is the B6s.

The H&R's are superb btw, give a great compromise between handling and comfort, not too harsh, but you can feel the car is planted properly. Make sure you get a full four wheel alignment done after fitting them.

Cheers Ian, i wish i knew this before purchasing - oh well i'll give it a go. I did speak with Steve @ LMF about the B4's which he said were fine for direct replacements but did try to convince me to go for the B6's as he said they were night and day apart..but so was the price. All said with the B4 & H&R springs, plus mounts, bearings, drop links, Poly bushes etc i'm in over £550 and couldn't justify spending the £150ish more for the B6's, wish i did now though Oh and yes definately getting the 4 wheel alignment done in the weekend.
