Changing head light bulb Dip beam

Hi went out yesterday and warning came on for dip beam bulb driver side .
Went to change it and all i can do is get the plastic cap off
Presume you remove the airbox to change it as there is no way my hands can fit in the gap without removing it
or is there an easier way as so far have found the vec to be a pain in the backside for routine maintenance

Yep...that's it.

Did mine a few weeks back - both sides in fact.
It's a 55 reg Facelift Club spec car........didn't find it to bad...The lamps/bulbs are the standard Halogen types...

either remove the airbox or take the front bumper off,only 12 screws & clips holding it on,just fitted HID's,it was a whole lot handier,think you need to be a gynaecologist to get you hand in there,passenger side at least you can lift the battery box lid & remove the washer bottle spout

hi mate,change the dipped to HID's,you wont regret it,i went down the same route as you 1st,put osram N/B in dipped & phillips blue ultra in the main,still not much improvement,got a set of HID's of another member on here...................................wow,unbelie able difference,just needed to add a set of MTEC 501 sidelight bulbs,dont use the main beam now as i have enough from dipped

Removing the bumper is just as quick. Also less likely to put the ECU fault light on if you forget to connect the air flow meter when finished or testing the HIDs.

I found that just removing the top of the air box and moving it,and the ducting,out of the way,gave me enough room to fit the bulb when I changed over to HID's. FELIXX.
