Default F40 gearbox oil plug, what size?

It's more and more difficult to engage 2nd and 3rd gear now, decided to change the oil as per how2.

Went to stealer today and find 2 type of oil filler plug, M10x1.0 and M18x1.5, which is the one i need please?

There is only one size of drain plug, M18x1.5

PS: It surprised me that arnond clark do not have any sump plug, gearbox oil filler and drain plugs in stock within whole glasgow area....

    PSPS:Engine is 120ps, gearbox F40.

I would like to replace the top (filler) plug and drain plug as obama's (Jezzy's) how2.

The top plug have 2 sizes.... I will order the one with same size as bottom plug.

Yes do that, and worse case scenario is that you'll have to reuse the old fill plug if the new one doesn't fit; it's only the bottom one you shouldn't reuse as it doesn't have a washer on it.

11099092 M10 used to check the oil level
    55561146 M18 for filling
11099271 M18 for draining - not sure but I think this may be magnitized too hence different PN's for filling & drain.

There's no oil check plug on the F40 - just a fill plug and drain plug.

Jezzy not quite....guess the EPC is wrong again!!!

I did some digging on the mothership......
Only early design F40 have the 11099092 M10 inspection / filling plugs.
This plug was deleted some time in 2003 Model year, because a change in oil volume 3.0L to 1.8L / 2.2L.

Could even be that Vectra / Signum wasn't effected by this change as the F40 was introduced for 03.75 MY.
