    Default windscreen washers

    Hi guys,
I had the usuall blue slime in my water bottle which i thought was responsible for the water taking longer to reach the windscreen, so i removed the pump and cleaned the filter which wasn't that bad anyway. I flushed the bottle out and topped it up, but it still takes about 4 seconds and at least 3 wipes of the wipers over the screen before the fluid hits the screen, is this normal? my concern is it's probably scratching the screen in the first few wipes. In my previous cars it's been instant although in the vec it's as though the water is draining back to the pump.

If there is a good jet when it finally arrives, it sounds as if the non return valve is defective and is allowing water to run back into the reservoir.
