Thats not right unfort... Just because you have the cert doesnt mean u dont have insurance..

Tons of ppl used to blag it by cancelling their policy a few months into having insurance and then tyring to show the old bill the 'valid' ceritifcate

Whats the clauses in the payment protection?? If you can proove they screwed up they should pay for the release fee for ur motor.. and maybe u can go to court to fight the points etc

Dont think so mate, alot of people could get a policy, then cancel their payments.... so this would make them uninsured regardless if they had there policy on hand

having an insurance certificate doesn't mean that you have insurance lots of people take out policies and then cancel the direct debit once they have the certificate

I intend to fight the points at court, but unfortunatly as far as i can tell, and on advice from a traffic officer - even if Admiral admit a mistake, at the time of being stopped i didnt have insurance, so the offence is complete. Just checked myself, my car isnt shown on the motor insurance database.

If u can proove to the judge that u had no idea. And Admiral all the policy people say it was their mistake u will more than certainly get ur points back
