"That’s not all either. Technology is also under development that can even record whether your tyres and brakes are in safe and legal condition by measuring the heat signature with thermal imaging cameras."
WTF???? Thats impossible
How long after they come out will these new ASSET cameras become known as AS$hole cameras, whether they're needed or not!
So if a car slams their brakes on and you have to do the same, the gap between could be minimal and you end up with a fine and points? I can see the government sponging off us hard working citizens again another big brother type ploy. I'll be more than happy for them to look out for tax and insurance but the rest is getting silly now.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought of this. If something or someone shoots out into the road, your brake temperatures would be a lot higher if you'd just slammed them on. Would that mean points to because to a dull camera that would classify as someone that's been hammering the brakes?
If they do bring these out, they will have to make sure EVERY bug is ironed out or there's gonna be uproar in the motoring world.
What about the times you leave a good gap in front of you and some fool squeezes in last minute ..... Bang your caught or do you hit the brakes and cause carnage behind??
