    Default Wheel size

Lo all, quick question, I have standard 17" wheels fitted, am thinking (still trying to convince long haired sarnt major) about getting newer, nicer possibly bigger wheels.

If I go up to say 18 or 19" do I need to adjust any thing or do they just bolt on as per normal wheel change?

Will my turning circle be greatly reduced?

these may seem daft to people that know but its something I have never considered before and now I have been bitten by the modding bug, my life is over

In simple terms (so I can understand it)

if your 17" wheel is 36" around the circumfrence (complete guess)

a 19" wheel might 40" around the circumfrence

so the rolling circumference will be out by quite a margin

    http://www.ajdesigner.com/fl_tire/tire.php

this site explains it in more technical style mate

In fact you can select your tyre and wheel size on that site and the difference between a 17" and 18" is actually close to 80mm longer circumference

depends on the overall diameter of the wheel/tyre combined

    a 215/50/17 isnt a great deal different to a 235/35/19

I didnt realise the speed sensor measured wheel speed, I thought it would sense the speed of the driveshaft but just had a blonde moment I think because it would have to measure wheel speed to communicate with the ABS control unit right? ie rapid decceleration of a wheel would cause the ABS to release the brake pressure on that wheel.
