Default Pre facelift SRI bulb upgrade

Hi guys n gals been searching the forum and can not seem to find the answer, most posts relate to the facelift.

Anyway I want to upgrade the dipped and main beam bulbs in the car, even the wife commented on how bad they were on the motorway the other day.

Not fussed about HIDs etc as I will only mess up the installation if I try it lol.

im confused with all this H7 H1 stuff, can someone kindly tell me what bulbs I need to order H7? H4? etc and if they have a reputable source for them rather than halfrauds.

    Once again many thanks.

i know you mentioned about HID's but for the money it was the best thing i ever fitted to a car, light output is awsome and it went through its mot fine, also if you can change the bulbs you can fit hids, it really is a peice of cake,
i recon your looking at about £15 - £20 for a good set of bulbs for that money you could put hids in the dipped beam and leave the main beam as is (you wouldnt really need to use them with hids)

I would love the HIDs as replacing both H7 bulbs your looking at £40 -£60, but seriously me and DIY on cars dont mix well.

I would end up with the rear lights on and no headlights working at all LOL.

I paid a mechanic £20 to fit... well worth the money. I tried all these supposed 'brighter' lights,.. imo they just dont work. HID is a HUGE improvement

    HIDS-4-US
Dealt with both and found these guys better. Some folk have no problem with HIDS Direct, but as I've found and many others, their aftersales are poop.

£65 for the kit (dip) and I paid £20 to fit.

I suspect you looked at hids4u and not hids4us (note the s at the end of the name)

    HIDS4US are £67.49 delivered.

I bought mine from them back in sept 2009 for the same price they are today. Touch wood I've had no issues with them.
