Just using my right to reply. Besides the comments are here, so is my reply. And it's good to have a decent reply from John boy, I have no idea what his name is away from this forum and as I've said vvoc is putting its past behind it so that's not the place either.
I can move on, John boys moved on, it's all good

Excellent onwards and upwards. Oh and when did you own the 1982 cav? Always had a soft spot for them from when I was a kid.

Serious though, to those that feel I was less than perfect on vvoc, yes you are spot on. Only human with a portion of ****
Honestly if we ever make it to a show or meet in the future I'll happily shake your hands if you'll let me.

Up until last week Dean , was sat in the garage and not being used , was an inpulse purchase so was made an offer I couldn’t refuse so off she went .... all the way up to Scotland , being the Sr it was rare but the love just wasn’t there as it is for my vec b .... does kylie still have the B ? And whilst I mention her ive given this a fair bit of thought and I feel compelled to apologise for what I said about her / bringing her into the conversation , she never did me any harm in fact neither of you did my comments were purely based on how I perceived and read things back then and of course the good old reliable grape vine of the time which lead me to that impression, all the rest of the stuff I said in here is more to do with staff that you two weren’t apart of and the latter part of Vvoc time .... so .... my bad and I apologise for that , I was man enough to say it in here so I’m man enough to apologise in here and thus prove there is no bitterness or grudges held on my part .
I will also ask to have certain comments removed if possible .

Strangely enough my name is John and your right , the comments are here so why shouldn’t you reply .... welcome too Vectra c (not the greatest of starts granted lol) it’s a decent spot and lots of knowledgeable people here so enjoy .... As for Vvoc I said yesterday in ****** looooooooong phone call to the lad who started the resurrection that I wouldn’t be on the faceache page as don’t do it but if the forum comes back I’d give it a go by all means ... he’s assured me the past is the past and I’ve done the same so would be great to get back to what it was all about before the politics took over people , myself included as Vvoc for me was a lot (not limited too) the vectra B..... Goodluck to all involved I say ...

Thanks for that, happy to put past to the past.
Shame the cav wasn't ticking the boxes, so it went to Scotland then? That's where my B went, good taste in cars the Scots I say.
And yes Kylie still has her b, it needs some work, but it's savagabke I think. Needs a fuel line as the last time we started it up it pished fuel out the return feed. I've got that and service items ready. Hoping to find the time this summer to have a bash.
That's until I find a c to play with it things pan out that way!

The cav was a cool motor to drive but something just wasn’t there for me , it wasn’t advertised but a lad in the mk2 cav scene wanted it and made a decent offer so seemed the best thing to do really as he will appreciate it more then I .
So you don’t actually have a C as yet ?

Not yet. I looked into them briefly as my daily commute is about 4 miles round trip, so diesel with all the dpf and mess that goes with it doesn't really work in my eyes. So I was looking at petrol options, it would have to have the xp2 kit and ideally be a Sri. Tempted by vxr but the tax and insurance is a bit off putting. The 1.8 seems a bit small for the c and the znet seems hard to find.
Add in I would ideally like an estate and I'm looking at what is essentially rocking horse poo

Not all diesels have the dreaded dpf , my hatch doesn’t but the estates do , for that small journey a diesel certainly wouldn’t be cost effective, I had a vxr and it was a nice car to be fair , but the tax did take the **** and like the cav it just sat in the garage doing sweet fa , I did have a 2.0 turbo in petrol form but I wasn’t that taken with it (not getting into it in here lol as lots love them ) as for thr 1.8 I’ve no clue but they seem to be decent enough reading about them .... why not look for a cheaper tax band vxr then get @Teapot to map it ... job done
