    Default Which Bilsteins...

I'm going to upgrade my suspension set up thanks to knocking which I suspect is a top mount or bearing on one side, and a broken spring on the other. The shocks are probably a bit tired after 119k now anyway so might as well change the lot over.

My shopping list so far consists of:

    2x top mounts
    2x strut bearing
    1x Eibach Pro 30mm Kit

So the question is which Bilstein shocks to go for? B4 or B6? If the B4s are the same or slightly stiffer than the standard SRi then that is fine, but if they are softer than the SRi shock then I'll probably go for the B6 instead...?

    Opinions please

B6 or B8's are the way to go. B4's are a replacement for standard shocks

When you say standard... do you mean non-SRI?

B4 are spot on. Not to stiff and not bouncy.

Got B4 and Eibach pro kit 30mm on mine. Think the ride is superb.

So you had the SRi suspension to begin with... how did it compare to your setup now? I want it 'as new' SRi or slightly firmer than SRi... but not any softer.

Def sharper on the corners with less body roll. The noise has gone over bumps and actually rides them well.

I would say its better than standard sri set up. But my original springs and shocks had done 100k so probably a little tired.

All new know so feels great.

    Def a good choice B4s.

Yep me. The ride is far better than Stock SRi. It gives you so much more confidence in the corners and less inside wheel spin coming out of them as well. I actually think the ride quality is better than SRi as well so its win win for me mate.
