Boot clunk/rattle/knock

Not sure if anyone else has this issue but talk about frustrating i mean like seriously frustrating.

The seems to be a clunk/knocking sound in the boot which sounds like its coming from the top of the rear window.

I know i need a plastic bracket/clip for the parcel shelf but its almost as if one of the hinges is knackered. I've taken off the trim around the boot lining, cleared the boot out and still no joy but the odd thing is it only rattles and makes a noise when its cold weather. Strange i know but its bizarre. Even got the missus to drive whilst i sit in the back and i just cant pin point where its coming from?

Anyone else have this issue or have any suggestions what it could be?

take it out for a ride again & push your fingers between the boot & hatch near the lock area!, its common for the boot lock to 'rattle' & many time people have spent lots trying to find this, If this is the case remove the plastic trim & drop the lock catch down 1/2 mm thats all.

Hi I have this problem too. I think it's the boot lock. Any one no how to sort this. I do know I have a bush away on the kinda bent control arm at the rear. Would this be causing it.

Yes, change the bush or the whole arm before you look for any other possible causes. If you change just the bush, don't buy the cheapest one you can find, it'll fail in a week.

Yeah thanks I ordered 2 new arms yesterday of the net for 35 so a will c how they do.
