Default fitting a cd70 how long?

as above i just need some idea as i've changed radios before and there was never enough room for all the new wiring loom.i wondered if it was an hour or 2s work. i will have to fit new vents as i want the colour screen.
finally are the cd70s worth the money i'm looking at £375 for all the bits ,screen, head unit ,cable, aerial, map disc and the vents
    thanks in advance mrk

OK, you need to drop the roof lining on the drivers side and rear, remove the drivers footwell cover to replace the aerial wire and aerial.
The headunit itself is fairly straight forward BUT you may need to add an extra wire from the driver's footwell to the back of the CD70 for the GPS signal if you haven't got the right loom behind your dash.
If the GPS signal wire is in your dash loom then it should only be 2 - 3 hours max, less if you are a dab hand at dropping the roof lining.

about 10 mins to put a gps antenna in the center speaker area and route the cable through to connect to the back of the CD70.

The rest of the installation takes about an hour if its the first time you have attempted it

different mate. The CD70 is just a base for the aerial to screw into where as the CD70 incorporates a GPS antenna as well.

If you have fitted an independant GPS antenna then there should be no need to touch your existing radio aerial. The three base types merely accomodate for the requirements of their fitted headunit - radio only/radio DAB/radio and GPS.

If you're getting no GPS signal to a CD70 Navi you either know to working fine or have no reason to think isn't working fine, I would be tempted to initially check you have your alternate GPS antenna positioned well and plugged into the correct port (BLUE) on the headunit.
