    Default Headlight protector/cover

    Hello folks,

My dad recently let me have some headlight covers/protectors for my vectra there doesn't appear to be any fixings with them annoyingly.

Are these something that can be obtained separately or would I need to buy the whole kit from scratch?

Looks like I will need some screws (x2 per cover) and aluminium strips would that be right>?

    Many thanks

    Which covers do you have?
I have a damaged set for a preface in my shed which I am sure still have the fixings on them. I have a facelift now, so these are no longer required, but being slightly damaged aren't worth much
Let me know if these are any use and I'll dig them out

Do these actually do anything? After all, the headlights are made from pretty much the same material as the protectors (polycarbonate) and not glass anymore. Only time I've seen a broken headlight is when someone has physically hit it or ran into something, rather than stone chip damage.

The ones I got for my Preface are ones with a black surround and I had chrome headlights, was the only reason I got them. A fake SRI look
There are pictures in my vehicle diary, but as I say, they are damaged (a corner missing from one and a crack in the other from a massive stone) and I don't want anything for them, kept them just incase, so if they are wanted, as long as the postage is covered, they are free
Will dig them out tonight and get some pictures

Don't know but vauxhall must have thought they could sell them for what ever reason. There made in Australia according to the label with the gm part number. I bought these for £10 brand new old stock they have a silver border around them with a griffin logo so thought why not for a tenner.

This is true.... I've not had the car that long but otherwise they are just hanging around making the place a mess - I thought the best place to hang them up would be on the car!!

To make money from unsuspecting customers

They, like a lot of other manufacturers, also do very well selling snake oil.

Got me wondering ,so there made in Australia could it be because of a problem there like enviromental conditions . Increased UV degrading the light lens, sand blown damage . Maybe on of our Australian Holden members may hold the answer.
