VXR rear lower sections fit to non-SRi bumper???

I'm looking into the possibility of fitting/bonding a VXR rear lower bumper section and diffuser insert directly onto my non-SRi rear bumper (Facelift Design).

Has anyone done this/Is it possible/how do I do it? (I really don't mind cutting away a portion of my existing lower section if required)

I'd be grateful if anyone can answer all or any of these questions, as I'm getting peed off trying to repair a slightly damaged SRi bumper only to paint it and change the lower section anyway, and thought this would save a bit of time,effort and money?

If it will work I think it would be a lot of work and a bit of a pain!!

For the amount of hassle I woud just buy an SRi bumper. The insert replaces the standard SRi insert and then the lower bumper section (if you are talking about the VXR splitter) is in effect a cover for the lower section of the SRi bumper and sandwiches the insert inbetween the SRi bumper and itself!!

If you bond the VXR lower section on you will have nowhere for the clips on the insert to connect to.

Too much work if you ask me and you can pick up a bumper for aroung £45

I believe the VXR and SRI with their repsective lower sections are all one part i.e. you can not seperate the skirt from the main bumper ( for either), the guy in a parts department at my local vx told me that and even showed me, that's why I bought an sri rear bumper for my elite.

Unless you buy the VXR lower splitter which is an add on to the SRi bumper as I said above!!

the vxr rear lower skirt Will only fit the SRI bumpers as they are molded differently. the non sri has a black plastic tim that runs all the way round the bumper, HTH

Still for the extra £40-£50 it will cost for an SRi bumper you would be best to get one and save yourself a lot of hassle and tears when it doesn't all fit properly!!

do you have an exclusive model ???????? iv so the black plastic bit is already colour coded and is held on via the clips
