I've been contemplating doing mine but haven't had the time and with all the posts saying what a ballache it is, I was considering getting the dealers to do it LOL

Did you take any photos of the job at hand at all???

    Enjoy the warmth

Dread to think what the labour would cost bud, but saying that once youve done it once I s'pose it may not be that bad?
I didn't take and pics as to friggin cold Lol It was FREEZING and no fun especially when I spotted the offending bracket (which had an angle grinder to it in the end) I know you can remove the EGR cooler but getting your hands in is a mission!!!!

Mind you the stat was a bargain! New type £32 delivered, bloke on Ebay brought the wrong one so save alot all in all....
Good luck if you tackle it tho !!

Thanks for the advice Justin, maybe too big a task for me and my shovels (mits) LOL. Having said that though after doing my Mondeo V6 head gaskets (in car without removing engine) I may give it a try

Think I'll wait till it warms up a little before I give it a go though, won't be using car at all for best part of a month so MPG won't be a problem

Well done for getting it sorted

To any other 120 owners considering changing the thermostat, remove the brake vacuum pump first, make sure you get a new gasket from the stealers. I kid you not, it makes the job so much easier and access is dramatically improved.
