Engine temperature

I've had my vecci all ov 3 days now over all very pleased.

however, the engine seems to get very hot, once or twice after a run the radiator fans have kickked in and been on for 5-10mins after engine is switched off.

The temp guage in the car reads about 90C when stood at the lights but when moving it goes down to about 83c

It might be normal, but i just need someone to tell me that

oh, btw its a 2.0 turbo.

Sounds normal. My 2.0T sits bang on 85C when driving. When I park up (especially on a hot day) the engine temp will obviously creep up as there are no fans going, but they will then kick in after a short time.

my 2.2 derv unit goes to 100 degs normal, never had the fans kick in yet tho

That is a healthy running temp. Don't worry and enjoy the ride mate.

yeah mine too 2.2 dti sits between 90 &100 degs no probs at all

mine does exactly the same as your mick and seeing as we share the same weather and temperatures!!!!!!!!!! - lol
