Climate control too warm air mix
Hi ,
I have a problem with the air in the car being too hot . The air coming out is really warm especially on days where the outside temp is lower than the temp set in the ecc. If i turn the ECC to like 18 degrees, the aircondition starts and i get cool air. i normally run the ECC at 22 degrees perfectly, set and forget like, now i need to fiddle with turning the heater up and down to feel comfy. Is there a temp sensor or something that needs cleaning ?

it's a sign of it needing a gas refill, on most cars it should be done every 2 to 3 years to keep working right.

I'd like to rule that out. had te compressor replaced and system refilled 3 days ago. I thought that would cure this problem. Forgot to mention the most warm air comes out of the leftmost vent in the fascia, so this could well be an issue with the air distribution flaps ...

have you scnannned the car? if you haven't than this is a geussing game... it could well be a problem with one of the flaps not working, it could also be that the system is leaking... all in all the best solution woul be to scan the car... find the faultcode and take it from there. I wasn't aare that the system was previously re-gased as i didn't really read the first post i scanned it quickly... but ith the extra info you gave in your previous reply it does point to the circulation directional flaps... but a scan will point it out. Make sure you use a program/scanner that is for your opel as it might not have the option for scanning the reset of the systems on the canbus network so opcom or tech2/MDI/ dedicated opel OBD2 scanner will be needed.

thanks mate,
i might be able to borrow a CR Pro from Icarsoft not expecting too much as it is a "all cars supported" kind of tool, not opel/vx specific.

If it doesn't find a place/ person with opel specific software to scan the car.
