It’s a waste of time mate, Faceache has killed the forums! This is why I stopped putting any effort in when I was RO because most of the meets had to be cancelled due to a lack of interest.

I fully intended to put my name down for this until I realised it was not on the Sunday like usual .
I also saw the admin please delete comment and figured it was not even worth mentioning it .
I do not think that Facebook has killed the forum , it has not helped however ultimately all the usual suspects that regularly attended shows and meets have moved on to other cars .

TBH I feel the same as Jon really, I don’t believe that Facebook has done as badly as what you think it has to the forums but on the flip side it does allow us to keep in contact with the people that have moved on to other cars like Jon has already mentioned… Also had it been on the Sunday I would’ve also been there

I only put a Saturday because the last one was on a Saturday and some people said to me, they rather that so that’s the only reason I suggested it, personally I didn’t mind either way.

I think it’s a bit of both to be honest, I’m a member on lots of other Vauxhall forums where people still have the old skool cars but not online as much because they are on FB instead so I don’t just believe its because people have other cars.

Back to the BBQ I will arrange another one for next year now.
