headlight problem

yesterday got a warning to check my drivers side headlight, did this and found i needed a new bulb went and got one fitted all fine, jumped in car and started it up and got another warning to check my front drivers side parking light, basically the indicator is stuck on, its not flashing just a solid light and when i give it a slap it sometimes goes off. i must of knocked something when fitting new bulb anyone got any ideas ? iv tried to take the whole headlight out but it seems stuck on something. does it just need a bit of force or do i need to wangle out ? any help is greatly apreiciated.

Whole headlight out needs the bumper removing for the sake of the bottom fixing - bad design .......

Try removing the electrical connector and spray with contact cleaner spray first as the amount of items that you could disrupt are few so try this first.

thanks for that, shame headlight doesnt come out as there aint much space for a bloke with big hands like me, going to have a look soon and get my car ready for this snow if it ever comes, got myself loads of screenwash antifreeze de icer etc etc and it aint even snowed yet.

I find its easier to remove the air feed to the airbox and also the airbox when it comes to the drivers side headlight, tons of room and its only a 5 min job.

Is it on all of the time or only when you switch the lights on?

all the time, just been out to try fix it and had no joy, thought id fixed it it went out i got in car no warning light did i few other jobs then bang it was on again with warning light.

In the event of a front side light failure the indicator takes over the role so that the corner of the car remains illuminated and people can see you.
