    Default Signum Boot Light!

Does anyone know how to get to the boot lights in a facelift signum?

I bought the car with both presumably both bulbs blown. Any ideas on how to replace the bulbs? I know that they're festoons and I've got bulbs that will fit I just can't work out how to get to them. Do the light holders push out, or do you have to reach round behind and fumble with them.

I've tried everything I can think of. Tried taking the tail light clusters off but still no access from there.

Gah, thanks if anyone can help!

Nvm, sorted it now, the bulbs weren't even blown. Some spanner had just unplugged the bulbs on each side.

In case anyone is searching for this post in like six months time, you can get them out by reaching in behind and pulling the plastic from the rear of the car towards you and the housing will pop out.

Common action by dealers... on the forecourt, boot open all day.... many tape down the pinswitch, some remove boot bulbs, fuses, others unplug lamps to save the battery. Should have been checked and reconnected during pre-delivery inspection.

mmm, quite a few things didn't seem to get properly done at pre-delivery inspection, car wasn't really washed properly outside and inside seemed like they just gave it a dust, hoover and sprayed some air freshener.

The boot light in my Signum stays on even after the car has been locked. Seems to go out after about 5 minutes. If this is a 'design feature' I cant imagine why they would have done it. But it might also explain why you found they were disconnected. There are also some threads on here from people who dont lock their car when secured in a garage then find they have a flat battery.

My boot light definitly goes off when it's shut- as I've fitted LED strips now which you can tell very easily that they are on or off. Maybe someone has fitted some sort of capacitor or something in your boot light circuit so they stay on- maybe they worked with their boot open a lot - used the signum as a tool carrier or something?

Unclip the wires from the light, and connect the block round the other way bud...

You've connected them the wrong way thats all, easy mistake...
