    Default Rear power socket fault

I have a 56 reg 1.8 SRi. The power socket (cigarette light socket) for the rear seats is not working. This is the socket that would be used by passengers in the back and is mounted beside the ashtray at the back of the unit between the two front seats. I am not aware of any other functions that are not working. B.T.W. - The front socket (i.e. the one closest to the stereo console) does work. Could it be a fuse problem? Does that power socket have its own dedicated fuse? Any help would be most appreciated.

The fuse for the "accessory socket" or rear cig lighter is in the fuse box in the boot. Fuse number F17 15A. This is a dedicated fuse just for the rear lighter socket so has probably blown, if not then might be worth checking the plugs on the back of the socket to make sure they haven't come free or anything, but I'm sure it'll just be the fuse!

Great Pic Tony. Do you know where the ducting for the rear air vents runs?

Hi Ste...Part answer to that one...another picture...

Again associated with my parking sensor project last year and an ongoing handbrake issue..hope it's useful...

It appears to stop under the rear centre console 'cup holder' then dips under the front centre console and to the RHS of the gear lever mechanism joining the heater blower somewhere beyond that...

Not had the front centre console off.....hope is helps....

    Cheers

I have pics with the whole centre console (front and rear sections) removed due to my airbag ECU failure.

PM me if they would be of use and I'll post them here.

    , Tony!

Thanks, it seems the air flow comes through the arm rest structure? Is this correct? I've never removed my centre console rear panel, so just wondered. The rear vents are good though.
