    Default Disposal of old antifreeze...

Just replaced my radiator and coolant...

Where do I get rid of the old antifreeze? Don't want to just chuck it down the drain... Will the local tip have somewhere I can get rid?

Drop it off at your local council depot so they can de-ice the roads as they've no doubt run out of salt!

My local authority allows you to make arrangements for them to collect this locally
Each household is allowed up to three such refuse collections each year (bulky, dangerous, and chemicals) free of charge, after that they are £15 each

My neighbours cats lapped it up, they love the stuff! So much so, that they stopped pooping on my garden.

Come to think of it I haven't seen them for a while.....

The council should have somewhere for it to be put at the recycling centre. Mine doesn't have a seperate container for it and they always tell me to put it in with the engine oil. Ask and see what they say.
