can the EGR be blanked on the DTI??

i heard a rumor that it may be possible!?!

I would be interested to know. I wouldn't have thought so having seen inside the inlet manifold, how the EGR fits into it, and how the recirculated gas flows through it. But I'm not an expert and someone may know something or have an idea...

Have you tried searching, I'm sure this has been covered before. I know the CDTi engine has, but thought the DTi had too. Maybe I'm wrong and confused.

As far I`m aware it`s not possible

It will give a fault light on the dash....

Ask fikse. He made a blanking plate for his 2.2DTi.

you will need to get the egr switched off by tech2

can be done but 1 of lights on dash stays on ,did mine to check if egr vavle was had it run like this until vavle came then fitted it and cars ok my mate runs is blocked off all the time its only putting emissions back in to engine to make car more green .
