    Default Signum Exhaust - cost?

    Hi

1st post here so be gentle, hopefully I've posted in the right section..

I've got a 2004 Signum Design 2.2 direct - Yesterday I noticed the exhaust was hanging down at one side at the back. Took it to the (non dealer) garage today and was quoted £850 to replace with them saying 5 of the 6 clips were gone.

is this about right or should it be cheaper, £850 is a bill i just cannot affoard !!

    advice welcome, thanks in advance

    cheers mate

just found a place round the corner from the garage and they're trying to hook it back on but they said they can do a custom one for about 450. might shop about and see what kind of prices i can get but hopefully they can keep it in place for the time being....

    Wink

I just had a powerflow cat back system installed on my vec c, cost just £300 with lifetime warranty, was quoted £480 for a bog standard with one year warranty by some idiot at National tyres, who then proceeded to try and get me to change my discs and pads "coz there worn bad mate" "only £150 for em fitted" "will do the lot for £550" but the didnt know I had the pads changed a week before and thats how I new my exhaust was Knackered, best thing is, it had been M.O.T. 'd the week before too.

Never trust National Tyres in Byker, very expensive too.

as a matter of interest - what was the diagnosis on the original box ??

if it was hanging down on one side has the hanger just come off??

if so £5 to have it welded back on and save your money

    - unless you DID want to spend it on a new set up

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven

I had the two double hangers on the centre box broke and one on the rear box broke, did get em braized (coz apparently you cant weld an exhaust) but that lasted 3 days lol.

And yes, I did want a SS system too
