Best Free Mods

Just curious, what are the best free mods? Or very cheap, talking under £10-15 but really with emphasis on Free.

The first is obvious, to me at least.

1. Airbox Mod

Interior rear light
Blue 501's for interior lights/ side lights / number plate

I did that on my 2.2 Petrol Vectra B, used the block but swing out and leave connected method.

I should say why I'm enquiring! I've spent about £500 in under a month, half maintenance, half mods. Of which a pair of new front tyres have taken a fair chunk of the maint. budget.

Wife has banned me for a few weeks, so thought I'd check on the freebies.

Unsure about the badge removal, always been a fan, particularly of engine size. It serves a number of purposes. It doesn't seem as easy as the Vectra B, I just pulled off the badge on the vectra B, it didn't really need cleaning!

Auto-locking doors when driving.

My wife would've done unspeakable things to me if this had worked, it was one of the plus points in getting this car, though I knew it may not work on all, alas mine didn't. She feels safer with this, however she loves the button on the door.

Fortunately I have the rear light, not interested in LED's, not a fan. I've got Xenons anyway for main lights. Though would prefer the whiter bulbs for sidelights, a small yellow patch on your headlights looks shocking!

ALTHOUGH, do interior 501's still fade properly?
