    Default got to love the cold weather .......... NOT

    more snow yetsreday which wasnt really a problem until i turned the heater on in the car and the screen decided to crack from bottom right to the middle of the left side


    dam you gavin from autoglass , hes always right

    so looks like a new screen for the siggy !!!

    It tends not to happen if you leave the heating set in one position and just make minor adjustments..... If you leave the car running to warm it up before you set off, don't leave it running with the heating/fans off.

    It's when the missus gets in the pre-warmed car and whacks it right up to full heat and fans that you really need to worry, even a perfect windscreen is going to feel the stress in cold weather.

    And also, why the hell do they do this when the engine is cold?????

    you and me both, went to wash the car this morning and there she is, a lovely crack from the edge of the screen heading nicely towards the chip that i have had in the screen for ages now, and the blooming thing has already grown a couple of inches on the short journey to training this morning.

    so will be a new screen for me aswell.

    i have a £70 excess for windscreen replacement on my insurance so it could have been worse.

    Its the OE screen in there, but it has been refitted/resealed at least once
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!
