    Question Sounds like budgies in my boot!!



    Sounds like i have a budgie in my booty when i drive and cant find the problem anywhere, wheel screwed in fine and nothing in the boot at all!

    anyone had this problem and know where the fudge its coming from,

    It could be the rubber bungs on the back edge of the parcel shelf, presuming that you have a hatchback.

    Take it our for a run without the parcel shelf.

    Exactly the same problem I had and here is what you need to do to shut it up

    Couple of bits of sticky velcro or sticky foam/pads on the bump stops of the tailgate struts:




    Then peace and quiet

    Can't you just screw the rubber stops on the tailgate out a bit more?

    I had a similar problem but the rubber buffers were not to blame on mine.

    There are another two plastic buffers that 'catch' and guide the boot lock and I simply applied some lubricant to them as they were rubbing very slightly when driving causing the sound you describe.

    Work a try I think.

    just curded my squeaking noise with this excellent tip and it only cost 99p barrrrgain!!! and no more stress when driving as the noise was doing my head in.

    Mine threaded, now there pushed all the way in dont unsrew them to much or thats what happens

    Mine have broke... how much are replacement, or anyone have a bodge idea

    They just push in and out at min even when turned into the lock position...
