    Default oily air intake

i was fitting a thermostat the other day on my 150 cdti so removed the air pipe right by it to get some better access and was surprised to see the inside of the tube covered in oil!

is this the pipe going to the turbo?

any ideas why its in there? i take it its not supposed to be ther lol

I did the thermostat on my 150 cdti the other day and it had oil traces in the turbo pipe as well. My car has only done 14k so I hope this is normal but would be good to find out for sure

your air intake pipe from your airbox goes to the turbo.and another pipe coming from your intercooler. It would be no suprise to get some oil in these pipes but not alot of oil. the pipes are lightly lined with oil.
