Default Fitting towbar to Vectra C

Could really do with some pics of exactly where they bolt onto the car, from inside the boot area, and from below.

    Any advice.

Also what do I need to complete the wiring?

It is an aftermarket type, with twin electrics. Was just going to cut into the existing wiring loom, and there you go. (like on my old vectra). Not sure if it would cause issues elsewhere though. Buzzer for the indicator telltale, and relay for the FRIDGE, +12V and AUX included.

    TIA

Try searching for your car here:

    http://www.witter-towbars.co.uk

They've got installation instructions as PDFs. (I'm guessing that all towbars use the same mounting points irrespective of make).

I have fitted one to mine with both electrics, be carefull when cutting into the loom, it will set offvarious fault codes. When I bought mine, it came with a black box which prevents this from happening.

I take you have your answer? Let me know if you are still stuck.

Matt, the wiring is the thing that is concerning me.

I have tried adding another bulb to the indicators and to the side light / brake light. (using a piece of wire and a bulb). Only on the passenger side though.

Nothing happened, except of course the bulb illuminated.
As the side lights operate on reduced voltage, and full voltage for the brake light on the upper side light, they cannot even operate a standard relay.)was going to use this to power side lights.

What does the black box do? Where does it connect? Is it into the pass side electric distribution box behind the boot trim?

Where do I get the main power feed (easily) from for the secondary towbar plug? Don't want to run an other wire from battery.

    Info would be greatly appreciated.

    Ste

Yep, took a while, but it's now all working fine. Had to get mate to help me too, or it would have taken a bit longer.
