Default Bouncy Rear suspension and creeking

    Hi folks

Just wondering if anybody can shed any light on this probem. I've noticed (AND other people in the car have commented) that the rear of the car seems to wander, feels vague, or is a bit bouncy.. I've pushed down on the suspension on the boot and, compared with the front suspension, is VERY bouncy and easy to push down. The car does about 3 bounces on its own when I push down on the boot then let go. compared to the front that just seems to return to the top when I push down and let go. ALSO when I've been carring weight in the rear, either people or stuff. It does seem to squeek for days afterwards when going ove bumps etc (especially when getting the bite point when holding the handbrake on)

ANY info of theories would be welcome

    Cheers
    Pete

Think that's either shocker or spring gone, someone will come along and confirm it!

Definatly sounds like a shocker has packed in, your upper control arms may be worn too

Cheers for that, My car is an 2004 SRI. I'd assume that the SRI's should have firmer suspension? Just out of interest how to control arms wear? is it just the bushes on them or the the arms themselves wear?

    Cheers

It's just the bushes that wear but its economical to just fit the whole arm instead

Check the anti-roll bar link arms as well while you are at it.
