Gearbox question. Please read thanks

Hi everyone and welcome, I have recently joined. My name is Paul and I have a lightly modded Vectra C, Its a 2.0 Dti Sxi. I from Dundee and im 21 (Who cares about that info though lol). Anyhow my third gear has completely gone. My clutch was going and I was having to crunch my car into gear sometimes and In doing that I completely lost third gear. So once I got a new clutch and concentric slave cylinder fitted I took my beloved Veccie to Tayside Transmissions, ( A gearbox reconditioning/repair specialist ) and told them about my problem, then I asked them how much it would cost to repair my gearbox. The guy said to repair it, it would cost £120 if its a selector or dogtooth. He said they dont fit or remove gearboxes but he might be able to undo or remove the droplinks or whatever and remove the selector etc for an extra £80 (£200 in total) . So when he had a look at it he realised that it was a German made f23 gearbox and the whole gearbox would have to be removed completely by my personal mechanic then back brought to him. Now its a big hassle and gonna cost me even more money in doing so. I have seen a cheap f23 gearbox from a 2002 (non facelift) 2.0 Dti Vectra and was wondering if it would fit my 2003 2.0 Dti Vectra C which has a f23 gearbox? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Simple answer is Yes, it will fit

An F23 will definitely fit, an F35 might too, since the 2.0DTI and 2.2DTI are pretty much the same thing. Maybe the clutch is different?
