Default open up drivers sri seat?

ive got an 57 plate vec sri 1.9 and the drivers seat squeeks and creaks so bad its driving me mad! I have applied wd40 to all the runners and bits under the seat but I think it might be the springs inside. Is there any way to open up the seat and lubricate the springs? oh and dealers have told me its not covered under warrenty
    cheers

    Default dodgy seat

    hey

i have a 08 reg SRI with similar issue, it has been back to the dealer 3 times with squeaky seat and they have stripped it down and lubricated etc etc but it has come back again.
I have asked them now to kindly replace the seat as the warranty expires next month.
By the way they looked at it 3 times under warranty with no cost to me so reckon your dealer is telling porkies there mate !!

is the seat base either as high as it will go or as low as it will go? I had my chair as low as it would go and it sqeaked, if you raise it just a little, it stops. Apparently common with Vx chairs.

Seats are probably classed as "Trim" and therefore only covered for 1 year.

Try pull the arm rest out, and drive round with elbow firmly on it... see if it stops.

I thought i had a problem with seats but its definatly the arm rest. just been too lazy to strip it down as yet...
